Abstract

This article gives a glimpse into contemporary human mobility, reading it through the lenses of new epistemological theories including borderstudies. Human mobility requires a renewed pedagogical awareness. The author tries to encourage it by focusing on the idea of education itself as an action of crossing and going beyond borders, and its implications. Moreover, this essay reports a research on children’s literature about migration, showing the potentiality of books as a tool for providing the new cultural awareness needed in order to understand the present world.
