Occupational transitions and competencies certification

Abstract

The article addresses the issue of validation of non-formal and informal learning and certification of competences in Italy and in two avanced regional systems. Particular attention is devoted to the role of competencies certification in the school to work transition. Problems and prospects of the system recently introduced by Legislative Decree No 13 of 16 January 2013 are analysed and the coherence between its concrete application and the paradigm of integration between education, training and work is also discussed.
