Gesualdo Nosengo. Esperienze di insegnamento attivo della religione cattolica

Abstract

This article sets out to describe the school experiences of Gesualdo Nosengo (1906-1968) in close connection with his pedagogical studies concerning active learning techniques for students of the Catholic religion. It is thought that Nosengo, from a historical viewpoint, and especially during the period prior to the Second World War, was one of the most important figures amongst the Catholic-Italian experts of school and education. He was most noted for the disseminations of new information coming from the European New Education Movement and the resulting possible applications in the field of religious education. For this purpose, it is necessary to analyze Nosengo's commitment to the innovations surrounding the practice of teaching the Catholic religion in its fundamental parts, including a biographical perspective.
