Accoglienza o ostilità verso l'immigrato? Le contraddizioni della globalizzazione capitalistica

Abstract

The dilemma between the hospitality and the mistrust/hostility towards the migrant is to be interpreted in relation to the expansionist characteristics of capitalistic globalization, whose monocultural and technoscience-based attitude hinders the genuine dialogue with the other; more, behind the rhetoric of the ‘global village’, it generates also in the rich West growing inequalities and discomfort pockets in which hostility towards immigrants matures.
