La pedagogia dell'alimentazione: contributo ad una teoresi educativa
The aim of this study is to reflect upon the close link between education and nutrition, and to outline a possible pedagogical epistemology of this human practice that is both bio-physiological and cultural. Through a methodological approach, both historical and phenomenological-hermeneutical, this study will show how nutrition represents a human action that always implies a choice, a responsibility and an “intention” from the human being. This act takes shape as an existential experience, full of and rich in educational meanings. Without awareness of its educational value, nutrition cannot become a lifestyle that tends towards the wellbeing of the person. For this reason, this study will sketch, in its conclusion, a possible nutrition and diet education methodology, and it will show how this has to be understood as an integral part of the holistic human education.
