Abstract

In the globalization era, it is necessary to find deep sacredness in food. The food isn’t a simple composition of parts. It is a value and an immediate vector able to realize the encounter with God and of men with themselves. Ancient cultural traditions show this perspective, particularly in the image of food holiness. In these ones, there are sacred acts that direct the sobriety and awareness, to add the “gift” and the “charity” ideas in those communities. This meaning is present in the communion sacrifices that increase the faithful and charitable culture of convivial meetings.
