L'istruzione superiore alla prova dell'employability: inquadramento di un'opzione culturale

Abstract

The growing relevance of the European Union in policies concerning university education and the disheartening statistics on youth unemployment in Italy during the crisis highlight the need to put forward strategies to boost graduates’ employability. This aspect is deeply investigated in those countries where the university is based on an economic approach, while it is practically unknown in Italy. Our political and university system must find an agreement on the definition of “employability”, because this choice will affect the structure of tertiary education in the years to come.
